Tiramisu

Like all Italians, I love to talk about food, exchange recipes, cook and of course eat!
Today during pizza baking with our guests we came to talk about Italian desserts. And of course it was about how delicious the tiramisu was in a certain restaurant near Polmone!

But did you know that making a really tasty tiramisu is actually very easy?
I have a great recipe for you here:

For 8 people you take:

  • approx. 4 tablespoons of rum
  • 1 dl strong black coffee (preferably espresso)
  • 3 tablespoons cognac or amaretto
  • 20 long fingers
  • 400 gr mascarpone
  • 2 eggs, split
  • 6 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 100 gr dark chocolate, finely grated. But I always use pure cocoa myself.

Mix half of the rum with the coffee and the cognac or amaretto. Arrange the long fingers in a shallow dish. Pour the coffee mixture over it. Beat the mascarpone with the egg yolks, powdered sugar and the rest of the rum. Beat the egg whites and scoop them through the mascarpone. Cover the long fingers with this, sprinkle with the chocolate and leave the dish in the fridge overnight. And if you use pure cocoa like me, scoop the cocoa into a sieve and then sieve the cocoa over the mascarpone mixture.

I am curious how you found it and maybe you have a tastier and equally easy to make tiramisu recipe!
